Rajeev Motwani (1962–2009) was a professor of computer science at Stanford University. His research focused on theoretical computer science, including data privacy, web search, and robotics. He co-authored the seminal PageRank paper with Larry Page and Sergey Brin, profoundly shaping Google. A recipient of the Gödel Prize in 2001, he also served as an advisor to Sequoia Capital and was an investor in various technology startups. He held degrees from IIT Kanpur and UC Berkeley.
