In 1994, Vinita Gupta took Digital Link Corporation public on the NASDAQ, becoming the first Indian-born woman to lead a U.S. technology company through an IPO. At a time when women and minority executives were exceptionally rare in Silicon Valley, she successfully navigated Wall Street and the public markets during the early technology boom.
