Maya Kaimal is a pioneering culinary entrepreneur and cookbook author who successfully brought authentic Indian flavors to the American mainstream. Raised in Boston to a South Indian father and an American mother, she initially pursued a career in the visual arts, working as a photo editor for Saveur magazine.
