Sukhi Singh, a native of northern India, immigrated to the United States in 1985 with her husband, Surinder, and their three children, eventually settling in Danville, California. Originally from Dehradun, India, she immigrated to California in 1985. After a devastating 1989 earthquake left her deli business with $70,000 in debt, she pivoted to creating her own Indian food line. Over the past decade, she built a major kitchen business, creating “Sukhi’s” brand of popular Indian sauces, spices, and chutneys. Today, her products are sold in grocery stores, farmers’ markets, and commercial kitchens nationwide
