Dr. Tejal Desai is a bioengineer and Dean of Engineering at Brown University whose pioneering research has advanced the field of precision drug delivery. She develops micro- and nanoscale implantable devices and microneedle technologies that deliver medicines directly to targeted tissues, improving treatment while reducing side effects. Her innovations have expanded the possibilities of personalized medicine and biomedical engineering, influencing therapies for chronic diseases.
