Tasneem Raja is a journalist, editor, and nonprofit media leader whose work has expanded the role of data journalism and community reporting. At Mother Jones, she helped build one of the first comprehensive databases tracking mass shootings in the United States, creating an essential reporting resource for journalists and researchers. She later co-founded The Tyler Loop, demonstrating new models for nonprofit local journalism and civic engagement.
