India Currents documented the evolution of Indian American life as the community expanded across the United States. Founded in Silicon Valley as a print magazine before becoming a nonprofit digital newsroom, it chronicled immigration, identity, entrepreneurship, politics, and culture over nearly four decades. The publication provided a lasting record of how successive generations reshaped both the diaspora and American society. Its longevity made it one of the country’s most important institutions for documenting the Indian American experience.
