At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Raj Bhavsar won bronze as part of the U.S. men’s gymnastics team, becoming the first Indian American man to reach the Olympic gymnastics podium. He had narrowly missed the 2004 Olympic team and continued competing through injuries and setbacks before securing his place in Beijing. His achievement built on the path opened by Mohini Bhardwaj four years earlier, establishing an enduring Indian American presence in Olympic gymnastics.
