The U.S. Senate unanimously confirmed Rachel Paulose as U.S. Attorney for the District of Minnesota, making her the first Indian American woman confirmed by the Senate to any federal office. At a time when Indian Americans were virtually absent from senior federal legal leadership, her confirmation broke a significant barrier and broadened representation within the nation’s justice system.
