Ambassador (ret.) Atul Keshap is a distinguished career diplomat who serves as the President of the U.S.-India Business Council and the U.S.-Bangladesh Business Council, while also holding the role of Senior Vice President for South Asia at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. During his 28-year Foreign Service career, he served as Charge d’Affaires in New Delhi and as U.S. Ambassador to Sri Lanka and Maldives. His accomplishments include finalizing civilian nuclear energy agreements and advancing the U.S.-India-Japan-Australia Quadrilateral. In 2018, he received the State Department’s Distinguished Honor Award and a 2019 Presidential Meritorious Rank Award for his leadership in the Indian Ocean region.
