Anil Nayar is a former squash player who helped establish Indian American excellence in U.S. collegiate and professional squash. After arriving from India in the late 1960s, he won three consecutive national intercollegiate squash championships for Harvard University, becoming the first player from outside North America to achieve the feat. He later captured two U.S. National Singles titles and was inducted into the U.S. Squash Hall of Fame in 2018. His career marked one of the earliest major sporting successes by an athlete of Indian origin in the United States.
