Beheruz Sethna is a trailblazing educator who made history as the first person of Indian origin to serve as president of a U.S. university. Serving as the sixth president of the University of West Georgia from 1994 to 2013, he transformed the institution from a liberal arts college into a comprehensive, doctoral-granting university. During his 19-year tenure, enrollment grew by 50%, the endowment increased ten-fold, and he oversaw the construction of more facilities than all his predecessors combined.
