Deepak Bhargava is a social justice leader whose career has focused on expanding economic opportunity and strengthening American democracy. As Executive Director of the Center for Community Change for nearly two decades, he built one of the nation’s leading grassroots advocacy organizations, advancing campaigns on immigration reform, racial justice, affordable housing, and workers’ rights. He later became Distinguished Lecturer at the City University of New York’s School of Labor and Urban Studies. Through coalition-building and public policy advocacy, Bhargava has helped shape progressive movements across the United States.
