Indira Talwani is an American jurist. She serves on the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and became the first person of Asian descent appointed as a federal judge in the state. Her appointment marked a milestone in the diversification of Massachusetts’ federal judiciary and broadened South Asian representation on the bench.
