Mufti Muhammad Sadiq was an Ahmadi Muslim missionary who established one of the earliest organized Muslim missions in the United States. Arriving in 1920, he founded The Moslem Sunrise, the country’s first enduring Muslim periodical, and preached widely from Chicago to racially diverse audiences. His outreach attracted hundreds of converts, particularly African Americans, and helped establish Islam as a visible part of America’s religious landscape. Sadiq’s work fostered interfaith dialogue and expanded public understanding of Islam during the early twentieth century.
