Rohit Vyas is a broadcast journalist who helped establish a visible and enduring Indian American presence on American television. Over a career spanning more than four decades, he reported on local, national, and international affairs while becoming one of the longest-serving journalists of Indian origin in US broadcasting. In 2001, he moderated New Jersey’s first gubernatorial debate focused on the Asian American community, underscoring the growing political influence of the diaspora. Through his reporting and public engagement, Vyas helped bring South Asian voices and issues into the American media mainstream.
