Sanjay Patel is an acclaimed British-born American animator, illustrator, and author who spent over two decades working as an animator at Pixar, contributing to beloved films like Monsters, Inc., Ratatouille, and The Incredibles. In 2015, he gained significant critical attention for directing the short animated film Sanjay’s Super Team, a deeply personal project inspired by his own childhood experience of bridging his Indian heritage with American popular culture. This short film earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Short Film at the 88th Oscars. Beyond Pixar, Patel has pioneered the celebration of Indian mythology through his Ghee Happy brand and creative storytelling.
