Usha Chilukuri Vance is an American lawyer who became the first person of Indian origin to serve as Second Lady of the United States following the election of the Trump–Vance ticket in 2024. The daughter of Indian immigrants, she graduated from Yale Law School and built a distinguished legal career before entering public life. As Second Lady, she has brought an Indian American story into the White House, reflecting the growing diversity of America’s first and second families and the expanding presence of the diaspora in national leadership.
